Southcentre and Kingsway | Virtual Assistant

The aim of this project to educate customers about virtual assistant resources and tools that simplify life and shopping at Southcentre and Kingway Mall.  The goal is to connect customers with these existing resources, creating an appealing experience and boosting their usage.

Direction 1 – How may I help you today?

This design concept uses warm and inviting colors paired with friendly, approachable copy to create a welcoming atmosphere. To further enhance the sense of personal connection, the concept includes supporting graphics that reinforce the conversational aspect by simulating messages from a real person. This combination of thoughtful color choices, engaging text, and relatable visuals works together to make interactions feel genuine and personable, encouraging customers to engage with confidence.

Direction 2 – A bot couldn’t answer that.

This design concept employs a copy-driven approach by featuring questions that only a human can answer, ensuring customers recognize they are interacting with a real person and not an automated service. By using graphics that mimic an iMessage conversation, the concept creates a familiar and personal experience. This visual and interactive strategy fosters trust and authenticity, reassuring customers that their inquiries are being handled with genuine care and attention.

Direction 3 – We’re here for you.

This design concept explores empathy by thoughtfully integrating inclusive copy and diverse imagery. By using language that resonates with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, and featuring images that reflect a broad spectrum of cultures, lifestyles, and identities, the concept aims to create a sense of understanding and connection. This approach not only highlights the value of each individual but also fosters a welcoming environment where all customers feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

Final direction

The final design combines the friendly element from Concept 1, the human-centric message copy from Concept 2, and the diverse, empathetic tone from Concept 3. It leverages a warm and approachable style to engage users, ensures that interactions feel genuinely personal by featuring message copy that only a real human could answer, and embraces a broad spectrum of backgrounds and experiences. This thoughtful integration creates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, making every customer feel both valued and understood.
